The Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG) - 2026] is an all-India test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to various Undergraduate Programmes in all Central Universities under Ministry of Education, and other participating Universities / Institutions / Organizations / Autonomous Colleges.

  

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities/ Participating Universities (State/Deemed/Private).


For the Academic Session 2026-2027, CUET (UG) – 2026 will be conducted from 11th May 2026 to 31st May 2026. This article helps all aspirants to know all details of CUET.

Eligibility Criteria of CUET UG Exam


Age Limit: For appearing in the CUET (UG) - 2026, there is no age limit for the candidates.

Educational Qualification: The candidates who have passed the class 12 /equivalent examination or are appearing in 2026 can appear in the CUET (UG) - 2026 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University / Institution / Organization in which they are desirous of taking admission.

 

Year of Appearance in Qualifying Examination: For the year of appearance in the Class 12 / equivalent examination, relevant conditions of Universities / Institutions (as applicable) will be applied. The candidate must ensure his eligibility from the website of respective Universities / Institutions.


Examination Fee of CUET


For CUET (UG) – 2026, fees will be charged based on the number of subjects chosen by the candidates. The following fee structure is applicable for CUET (UG) - 2026 :

Choice of Test Paper: Candidates may choose upto a maximum of five (05) subjects including languages and General Aptitude Test irrespective of the subjects opted in class XII.
